Demien Farrell is an exceptional entertainment specialist. With 10-plus years' experience in the nightlife industry, his talents are ideal for growing EnDev's unique properties, bringing expertise in design development and build-out.
Demien grew up in Rockaway Beach, New York, and attended S.U.N.Y. Oneonta, where he graduated with a B.S. in Business Economics. After graduation, he worked for Johnson, McKinney & Carr, an investment banking firm. He then worked for Oxford Health Plans selling corporate health insurance.
Although successful, Demien felt he was not fulfilling his calling. During his time at Oneonta, he worked his way through school bartending at various upscale clubs in NYC and The Hamptons. The entertainment business was in his blood.
Demien left Oxford and went to work as a journeyman in Local 147, a masonry union in NYC, where he developed a strong background in construction while opening a consulting practice specializing in New York bar openings. For these properties, Demien consulted on bar design and layout, hired bar staff, worked the openings as a consultant and gave feedback on the front-of-house and back-of-house systems. Those establishments were McFadden's, Dublin NYC and Martell's Grill, all of which launched and sustained successfully.
Farrell then moved to San Diego and worked at The Onyx Room. At the same time, he and his lifelong friend James Brennan became business partners, founding Side Bar, San Diego's first ultra-lounge. With the success of Side Bar, Farrell and Brennan went on to build Stingaree. Stingaree was also a huge success upon opening.
Farrell was Brennan's partner in forming 3/73 Management, an entertainment and management company. In 2006, 3/73 Management merged with Halcyon, Brennan's real estate company, forming EnDev.
Demien currently resides in Pacific Beach in San Diego.
